FAQ Regarding Ladies Club
How do I join the club?
Before joining the Club, one must be a paid-up member of Rathbane Golf Course and once you pay and obtain a Course Membership number, you may join the Ladies club. Being a member of the Ladies Club entitles you to membership of Golf Ireland with many benefits such as having an official handicap and being able to play in all weekly and Major club and inter-club competitions; to play in open competitions organised by any club, and the ability to book reserved tee times for competitions. Membership application forms for 2023 are available at reception or from any member of the Ladies’ Committee. All new members will be advised on what they need to do to receive an official handicap. For 2023, the membership fee is €40 (€24 of which is for membership of Golf Ireland) and should be paid by 26th February. Please complete the application form, include the fee of €40 and place in the Ladies Drawer in the clubhouse. You will be contacted by the committee on acceptance of your membership.
How do I get a handicap?
To obtain a handicap for the Ladies Club, you must submit 3 cards (rounds of golf) – in any combination of 9 of 18 holes to a total of 54 holes and this must be with a current lady member with a Golf Ireland Handicap.

Where do I get to know the rules?
Every golfer should carry an R/A Rules book in their bag. The Ladies club are organising a Rules Night through Golf Ireland in early 2023 and we aim to have a welcome meeting and give each member a basic rules/etiquette book on joining. Every time you play a round of golf, you should endeavour to learn something new about golf. We, in the Ladies Club have a very good record of helping our members with rules.
