Men's Captains Welcome

On behalf of Rathbane Men's Club I wish to welcome everyone. I am delighted and grateful to have been elected Men's Captain for 2023, and I endeavour to carry out this role to the fullness of my capacity with the support of Colm and staff along with the committee of the Rathbane Men's Club.

With Rathbane Golf Club being open 25years this years, its only right that we celebrate the great work and dedication of those past years, plans are being put in place and we encourage every member to come and celebrate on the great achievement as the club goes from strength to strength, this could not be done without Colm, his staff and all the members both Ladies and Mens.

Details will be posted in due course. I hope that we will have a good golfing year for everyone to enjoy, and I ask that you participate as much as you can in our competitions. Seamus Reidy - Men's Captain

Our lady’s schedule of major events available along with information on Open singles, Summer leagues and winter minor alliance. Already plans are in place for marking the 25th year of Rathbane Golf Club culminating in a celebration weekend on June 24th & 25th to mark this anniversary.

Our lady’s weekly Wed 9 hole and Sunday 9/18 hole competitions are our core throughout the year. We see some amazing play/ learn something / meet a variety of  members & personalities / have fun / chats and coffee.  To maintain a good communication system the committee Hon Secretary is available  by e-mail for queries and  we can stay in contact with each other on our Social Club WhatsApp group.

I hope, with the members  assistance, we will grow our membership this year and that the club with be viewed as a place in Limerick for everyone to enjoy a good game of golf regardless of handicap.

All the best for good year golfing in 2023.

FAQ Regarding Ladies Club

How do I join the club?
Before joining the Club, one must be a paid-up member of Rathbane Golf Course and once you pay and obtain a Course Membership number, you may join the Ladies club.  Being a member of the Ladies Club entitles you to membership of Golf Ireland with many benefits such as having an official handicap and being able to play in all weekly and Major club and inter-club competitions; to play in open competitions organised by any club, and the ability to book reserved tee times for competitions.  Membership application forms for 2023 are available at reception or from any member of the Ladies’ Committee.  All new members will be advised on what they need to do to receive an official handicap.  For 2023, the membership fee is €40 (€24 of which is for membership of Golf Ireland) and should be paid by 26th February. Please complete the application form, include the fee of €40 and place in the Ladies Drawer in the clubhouse.  You will be contacted by the committee on acceptance of your membership.

How do I get a handicap?

To obtain a handicap for the Ladies Club, you must submit 3 cards (rounds of golf) – in any combination of 9 of 18 holes to a total of 54 holes and this must be with a current lady member with a Golf Ireland Handicap.

How much is the club?

The fee to join the Ladies Club for 2023 is €40, (once you have paid your Rathbane Course fee)

I have an issue who do I contact?

Please contact Ladies Club Secretary – Teresa Stack (086) 2247218 or or any committee member.

What is the weekly schedule for competitions?

A fixture list will be issued at the beginning of every golfing year.  Ladies Tee Times/Competitions are every Sunday from 10.30am and every Wednesday 09.30 – please book from the earliest Tee slot available and do not leave any gaps

Where do I get to know the rules?

Every golfer should carry an R/A Rules book in their bag.  The Ladies club are organising a Rules Night through Golf Ireland in early 2023 and we aim to have a welcome meeting and give each member a basic rules/etiquette book on joining.  Every time you play a round of golf, you should endeavour to learn something new about golf.  We, in the Ladies Club have a very good record of helping our members with rules.

Ladies Fixture List
